Intergenerational housing
My bachelor's thesis at TTK University of Applied Sciences (Cum Laude)
Intergenerational housing brings student and elderly living together with a publicly accessible programme of shared activities. The residential spaces are located on the upper floors, while the lower level creates a communal hub that is open to both residents and the wider community.
The shared spaces are designed for hobbies, learning, exercise, gardening and social activities. By bringing these different functions together under one roof, the project creates opportunities for students, older residents and local people to meet naturally through everyday activities, rather than through planned interaction.
The project explores how architecture can support intergenerational living by creating a connection between private spaces and a shared, community-oriented environment. The aim is to create a place where different generations can live alongside each other while still having opportunities to meet, interact and become part of a wider community.
In addition to the boards, a slide presentation has also been prepared to support the project.
